Experts suggest that the performance advantages of bamboo fiber give textile products made from it a higher added value, which will become a strong driving force for the transformation and upgrading of our city's textile and garment industry, enhancing quality and increasing output.

Recently, the Fujian Province Bamboo Fiber New Spinning Technology Development Strategy High-Level Forum, hosted by the Provincial Science and Technology Department and the Provincial Economic and Trade Commission, and co-organized by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, was held in our city. Authoritative experts and scholars from the domestic textile industry gathered to discuss the development of bamboo fiber technology, research on application processes, and new product development. At the meeting, the solvent method for producing bamboo fiber technology researched by Fujian Hongyuan Group Co., Ltd. was recognized by experts for its characteristics of overcoming pollution, simple processes, lower costs, and superior quality. Currently, this project is applying for a major special project from Fujian Province's science and technology department.

The textile and garment industry is one of the traditional pillar industries in our city. In 2006, the total output value of the industry in the city reached over 70 billion RMB, with famous brands such as Seven Wolves, Qipai, Jinba, Jiuwang, Lilang, and Hudou. The industrial chain including spinning, weaving, bleaching and dyeing, finishing, and processing is becoming increasingly complete. However, the textile and garment industry also faces issues such as high resource consumption, significant environmental pollution, and low technological content in products.

Experts pointed out at the forum that changing this situation requires strengthening technological innovation and product creativity in enterprises. By increasing technological content to enhance product added value, we can ultimately improve the competitiveness of Quanzhou's textile and garment industry. To achieve this, textile fabrics play a key role.

Industry insiders stated that fashion, ecology, and functionality have become the main themes of today's textile and garment industry. The rise of various differentiated, environmentally friendly, and functional new fibers has accelerated the diversification process of textile fabrics.

Textile fabric experts pointed out that bamboo fiber is a new type of 'green' fiber that has emerged in response to the trend of the times. Its excellent antibacterial properties, moisture absorption, breathability, drape feel, and other characteristics are becoming new highlights in both domestic and international textile markets. In addition, developing regenerated bamboo fiber and advocating 'using bamboo instead of cotton' can not only alleviate the tension in natural fibers but also open up a new path for the rational utilization of our country's rich bamboo resources.
